The California State University of Fresno Geomatics Engineering Program presents an annual Geomatics Engineering Conference. PECG Fresno Section, under the guidance and supervision of the Caltrans Surveying Division donates operating funds and a scholarship when possible. Special thanks go to Lyn Bockmiller for his care and attention to detail.
Geomatics Engineers serve society by collecting, monitoring, archiving and maintaining our national spatial infrastructure. Geomatics systems include: real property boundary determination, aerial and digital mapping, land and geographic information systems (LIS/GIS), geodesy and geodetic surveying (GPS), remote sensing, environmental and resource mapping, Geomatics applications programming, project management, route design and construction location.
This year's Geomatics Conference was held January 22-24, 2009.
Daniel Cerda was selected as the recipient of a scholarship this year donated by PECG. The attached document is his letter of appreciation to PECG Fresno Section.
PECG dues and commitment to encouraging young persons to continue in engineering, architecture, surveying and other professional careers have made this possible.
Thank you, all PECG members, for your commitment to the future.
Best wishes to Mr. Cerda in his future career.
